Delicii Calde Bruschetta - pizza by Hochland

Hello, world!

Last week I saw this product "Delicii Calde Bruschetta - pizza by Hochland" on sale - 2 for the price of 1. I'm usually not confident about buying new stuff full price - if it's food, that is.

I'm more likely to buy new foods if they're discounted. If i don't like them, then i won't be as sorry for wasting the money, or worse, the food item itself. 

You'll see the images as copyrighted by Cooking My Experience. That used to be the name of the blog i started this blogging journey, back in 2013. 

WHAT IS THIS FOOD?

This is a cream cheese-like mixture you spread on bread. Then you put the sandwiches in the oven for a few minutes until the cheese melts a little. I think a microwave oven also works. 

Of course, you can eat it cold as well.

HOW MUCH DOES IT WEIGH?

Actually, I forgot, but I believe around 250 grams. - I will have to check when I go to the store again.

WHAT LANGUAGE IS THAT? Romanian.

WHAT DOES IT CONTAIN?

This specific flavor contained cheese, bell peppers, and salami. The bell peppers and the salami were diced. Really tiny dices.

Once you remove the main lid you'll see a 2nd lid that peels off. The 2nd lid has instructions on how to enjoy this spread. I will try to reproduce them here:

• take a slice of bread (or more) and spread this mix on it (them)
• put the slice(s) in the oven and let cook for about 8 minutes (it depends on the type of oven you have)
• enjoy it! (but it's too hot, so be careful!)

TIP? you can completely remove the 2nd lid and use the main one after you open it, if you don't finish it. or you can use both.

Once you remove the lid, the spread looks rather bizarre and almost gross. Once I spread it on bread it looked better. And once you scoop it out, you also see the salami and bell peppers better.

WHAT DOES IT TASTE LIKE?

If you ask me, I didn't think it tasted much like pizza, but more like cheese with spices. Its flavor didn't really remind me of pizza. Probably if you made your own sandwiches using similar ingredients, they would taste better.

WAS IT GOOD?

On a scale from 1 to 10, I would rate this as a 7. I had a first slice cold, so unbaked. I must say I liked it more. Generally, I wasn't very impressed, and I think I will only buy it again if I see it on sale again.

I was surprised by the fact that the cheese didn't melt. Granted, the image on the lid doesn't show melted cheese. The colors weren't as strong as on the lid either, but that is to be expected.

On the plus side, eating some 4 or 5 slices of this thing can make you feel full, so it can replace your meal.
